Good Morning Moon

I Awake early each morning
To capture the silence of the day
To greet my subconscious with the awakening
of life in a unique way

It is dark and peaceful
And the moon is still alive
The only noises to be heard
Are the crickets which seem to thrive

This is the time the day will be anything
It’s to early to know of overcast or sun
It’s up to me to decide before the dawn
That it will be a beautiful day before it’s even begun

I enjoy the awakening of my senses
Through my incense and my tea
And with my writing I connect to spirit
This brings understanding and comforts me

The cool breeze on my face is livening
And each morning I spend alone I savor endlessly
This is the sacred time I give to myself
It allows me to work on the person I want to be

Two hours have now quickly past
And I’m greeted with hugs and smiles
But before we begin another day
Let me just enjoy holding you for awhile
